Kadom Ads Management Documentation

Normal Installation

1. Download and unzip the file
2. Put the kadom-ads-management folder into your “/wp-content/plugins/” folder
3. If you use URL Rewritting, please check that your .htaccess file is writable.
4. Log in into your WordPress control panel
5. Click the Plugins tab
6. Activate the “Kadom Ads Management” plugin (this will generate the Rewrite Rules for the Plugin)
7. Go in Kadom Ads tab to set up the options and create your first Ad Zone.
8. Done !

Direct Installation from WordPress Extends

1. Go in your WordPress admin Panel under Plugins > add new
2. Search for Kadom Ads Management with the keyword ‘kadom’
3. Click on install > Install Now
4. If you use URL Rewritting, please check that your .htaccess file is writable.
5. Activate the “Kadom Ads Management” plugin (this will generate the Rewrite Rules for the Plugin)
6. Go in Kadom Ads tab to set up the options and create your first Ad Zone.
7. Done !

Create your First Ads Zone

1. Go in your WordPress Admin Panel under Kadom Ads > Manage Zones
2. Fill the Add Form
   1. Position and Cost is only used on your advertise page if you use the shortcode (See the FAQ to learn more).
   2. for the width and height just enter the number in pixel ex: 125 (it’s the width and height of each banner in the zone)
   3. If Number of banners is greater than Max Banner Display : The banners will rotate randomly.
   4. Click yes for widget if you have a widget ready theme and if you want place the ads zone in your Sidebar.
   5. Submit!
3. Your first ads Zone is Created. Now you need to place the code in your Theme
   1. If you check widget, go under Appearence > Widgets and add a new instance of Kadom Ads Widget, save, and fill the widget options.
   2. If you don’t check Widget, Click on Get Ad Code. Read instructions, modify if necessary and paste the code in your WordPress themes files where you want to see the ads zone appears (Appearence > Editor, ex: index.php)
4. Great, You can now add new banners (campaigns) or create other ads zones.

Add your First Campaign (banner)

1. Go in your WordPress Admin Panel under Kadom Ads > Manage Campaigns
2. Fill the Add Form
   1. To add a new image use the Add Media feature of WordPress and paste the url of the image file
   2. Alt Text field is used in the title and alt attribute
   3. You can let the Start Date empty if you want start the campaigns immediately
   4. If you want to hide the url check Masked Url.
   5. Submit!
   6. If you check Masked Url, don’t forget to check the url redirection by clicking on your campaign.

1. What is the “advertise page” and the shortcode ?

The advertise page is a WordPress page (like the about page) where you display your available plan for the advertisers. A shortcode is a WordPress-specific code that lets you do nifty things with very little effort. Shortcodes can embed files or create objects that would normally require lots of complicated, ugly code in just one line. Shortcode = shortcut (read more). In Kadom Ads Management the shortcode [kadom-ads-table] create a table with all your available plan and an estimation of the banner impression.

• Correction : Add a Javascript Confirmation for delete Ad Zone and Banner (correct bug when ad zone disapear with plugins like fasterfox).
